Job Description

The Newton International Fellowship scheme is for non-UK scientists who are at an early stage of their research career and wish to conduct research in the UK. The scheme provides the opportunity for the best early stage post-doctoral researchers from all over the world to work at UK research institutions for a period of two years.

This round is open to applicants from India, China, Mexico and Turkey and is run in partnership with the Academy of Medical Sciences. Therefore, only projects that fall under the remit of the Royal Society or Academy of Medical Sciences will be considered. Please see the scheme notes for full details.

Applicants need to find a host scientist with a mutual interest. Dr Lee Margetts at the University of Manchester (UK) is keen to hear from potential candidates interested in using or adapting ParaFEM to perform novel research in any eligible branch of engineering or medical science. Successful candidates will have access to state of the art supercomputers, X-ray tomography imaging facilities and modern laboratory equipment.
